PSYC 305 — Psychology of Scientific Thinking

3 Lecture Hours, 3 Credits Prerequisites: Acceptance into the 3+1 Program; An RCSJ associate degree. Students will develop an understanding of the methods of science and its relationship to the outside world. Critical thinking and an empirical approach to evaluating scientific claims will be emphasized. Students will be introduced to the psychological processes underlying the scientific method and the persistence of belief in pseudoscientific and non-scientific claims.
