PTAS 103 — Introduction to Physical Therapist Assisting
3 Lecture, 3 Credits Prerequisites: “C+” or better in ENGL 101 or ENGL 101E Pre/Corequisites: “C+” or better in PTAS 115 This course will provide an introduction to the physical therapy profession, including a history of the American Physical Therapy Association; the role of the PTA as a member of the health care team; the PT/PTA relationship; physical therapy practice settings and specialties; as well as an introduction to physical therapy regulations, ethics, patient communication, patient health care records and documentation.
