PTAS 120 — Kinesiology and Measurement II
1 Lecture Hours, 2 Lab Hours, 3 Credits Prerequisites: “C+” or better in PTAS 108 & PTAS 110 Pre/Corequisites: “C+” or better in PTAS 125, & PTAS 203 Course Fee: H This course will provide an in-depth study of the biomechanical principles and anatomical structures responsible for human movement with a focus on the pelvis and lower extremities, posture, and gait. Students will be expected to demonstrate in lab competency with palpation of anatomical landmarks, assessing muscle strength, joint range of motion and application of therapeutic exercise. Documentation regarding data collection and treatment interventions will also be included.
