PTAS 125 — Patient Care for the PTA II
1 Lecture Hours, 2 Lab Hours, 3 Credits Prerequisites: “C+” or better in PTAS 103 & PTAS 115 Pre/Corequisites: “C+” or better in PTAS 105 & PTAS 120 Course Fee: G This course is designed to provide students with fundamental patient care skills and assessment techniques including transfer techniques, gait training, therapeutic exercise, and wheelchair management. During laboratory time, students will practice skills utilizing simulated patient care scenarios prior to being assessed through skill competency testing and practical examinations.
