SOCI 214 — Introduction to Sports and Sociology
3 Lecture Hours, 3 Credits Prerequisites: SOCI 101 This course studies the role of sport and the relationships between sport and society, both historically and in contemporary society. This course will examine how sport arises from and can contribute to community; how sport might be a reflection of society; and whether it can shape society sometimes toward a more level playing field.
