EMSS-2998 Paramedic Internship 6 EMSS-2998 Paramedic Internship 6 A paramedic field internship is the final phase of a paramedic training program, where students apply classroom and clinical knowledge in a real-world, supervised setting. The capstone experience places the intern on an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance with a paramedic preceptor, allowing them to respond to 911 calls. The goal is to develop competent, entry-level paramedics who can effectively manage scenes and patients.
