Students will apply foundational statistical concepts and tools to analyze healthcare datasets, interpret findings, and support data-driven decision-making. Topics include data collection, data validation, statistical analysis, data visualization, and performance measurement. The course also covers the use of quality indicators and performance data to support care improvement and compliance, with attention to the role of health information professionals in ensuring data accuracy.
