ARTS1820 — Introduction to Enameling
This course introduces the art of enameling on metal, including powdered enamels, watercolor and liquid (porcelain) enamels. Focus will be on using these materials with the application of drawing and painting techniques, working with textured metal and controlled firing textures. Other topics include basic metalsmithing techniques to integrate enamels into jewelry by use of bezels, prongs, and cold-connections. Occasionally. Six
