This course develops students’ academic and professional reading and writing skills. Students use the writing process to produce well-organized, well-supported pieces of writing in a variety of genres. The course also includes an introduction to the research process and basic information literacy. Reading and writing assignments focus on critical thinking strategies, vocabulary building, sentence structure, and the computer competency necessary for success in college. ummer, Fall and Spring.
