[Previously as: NURS 155] An introduction to pharmacological nursing practice across the lifespan utilizing a conceptual approach. The student identifies the nurse’s professional role related to pharmacotherapeutics in diverse populations. Safety issues and minimization of risk potential associated with pharmacotherapeutics, complementary, and alternative medicines are discussed. Evidence-based pharmacological and pathophysiological concepts are integrated to guide medication therapeutics. Common drug classes and the pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacokinetics associated with each class are included in this course. Permission required. all and Spring. Three
