[Previously as: RESP 120] Covers respiratory care therapeutic modalities in all patient populations, including medical gas administration, oxygen therapy, humidity and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, airway management, lung expansion therapy and the applicable physics and mathematics. This course introduces students to respiratory care professional organizations and to professional and ethical issues in health care, sustainable living through study of the “invisible structures” behind environmental sustainability, and the environmental impact of the medical industry.
