Air Conditioning Particularly in the South, you know how valuable your central heating and air conditioning are to the comfort of your home. Air conditioning technicians are in great demand. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, job growth in the industry is expected to grow at 4% from 2019 to 2029. The median annual wage for mechanics and installers was $50,590 in 2020. Graduates of the Air Conditioning Technology Program (HVAC training) are preferred by employers over those who have no post secondary education.
