PHYS 020 — General Physics 1 5 unit(s)

This is the first semester of a two-semester introductory physics sequence that does not require calculus. The course combines lectures with hands-on laboratory experiments and is required for students pursuing premedical, predental, prepharmacy, environmental science, and many biology programs, as well as occasionally for architecture or other science majors. Students learn to predict the motion and rotation of objects under constant or sinusoidal forces, and the course also introduces the fundamental principles of heat and temperature. (C-ID PHYS105)
