BIOL 2001 - Fundamentals of Field Science BIOL 2001 - Fundamentals of Field Science This course integrates classroom and on-site field instruction to introduce students to the study of Natural History, with emphasis on the ecosystems and ecology of the Bighorn Mountains. Students hone their skills of observation, learn basic field sampling techniques to trap and study insects, small mammals, and birds, and develop a native plant collection. In addition, students read and discuss works from historical and contemporary natural historians that have ed shape our view of the natural world. Prerequisites: BIOL 1001 Biology Orientation or instructor consent Minimum Grading: Letter
