ELAP 1515 - Electrical Apprenticeship 1A ELAP 1515 - Electrical Apprenticeship 1A This course provides the beginning electrical apprentice foundational knowledge.Topics include safe work practices, introduction to the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrician’s math, basic electric theory and introductory wiring methods. The application of the NEC is incorporated throughout the course. The Wyoming Electrical Apprenticeship program requires a total of 576 hours of educational component and 8,000 hours of working component to become eligible to sit for the Journeyman exam. This course provides 72 hours of the 144 hours of the annual learning component for Wyoming Electrical Apprentices that compliments the 2000 hour per year working component. Minimum Grading: Letter
