PLUM 1540 - Plumbing Apprenticeship II PLUM 1540 - Plumbing Apprenticeship II This course is the second in a series of four classes required to meet the 576 total hours of educational training for an approved State Supervised Apprenticeship program. This Level II course provides students with 144 hours of educational training enhancing student understanding of several of the topics introduced in the Level I course. Level II Plumbing curriculum includes the following: practical math and commercial print reading skill development; introduction to structural penetration, insulation, and firestopping; basic procedures for selecting, installing and testing DWV (drain, waste, and vent) piping, water supply piping; valves, fixtures, and water heaters; basics electricity in plumbing; and introduces fuel gas and fuel oil systems. This course emphasizes safe work procedures and will provide students with a foundation for further technical areas of study. Minimum Grading: Letter Comments: This course will be delivered once per year.
