Unit: 1.5 Prerequisite: Enrollment Limitation: audition required; auditions generally occur the first week of class and require demonstrated ability to play at least one instrument commonly used in jazz ensemble Advisory: Three to four years experience on instrument Hours: 54 (18 lecture, 36 laboratory) Rehearsal and performance of literature written for instrumental jazz ensemble, with emphasis on current musical trends.
