Specialty areas covered are endodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery and pediatric dentistry. Topics will include treatment indications, instrumentation and the selection dental materials needed for treatment, patient education, pre-operative and post- operative instruction, and the role and responsibility of the dental assistant in each specialty practice. Laboratory practice will focus on practice of competency skills including expanded functions that support and deliver patient treatment.
