MLT 266S - Practical Clinical Chemistry Add to Catalog Bookmarks MLT 266S - Practical Clinical Chemistry 4 Credit Hours A full-time internship to be completed at an affiliated local or out of town hospital or clinic. Students will broaden and perfect their laboratory skills through active hands-on participation in the Chemistry department of the laboratory. The emphasis of this course will be to have students understand disease pathologies assessed with clinical chemistry analysis. Students will perform quality assurance and quality control with accuracy. Analysis correlation with patient diagnosis will be emphasized. Written reports, case studies, review of current professional literature and attendance of conferences are required. As part of this course, students will be required to return to Southeast Tech campus the week of winter graduation. Students will participate in review of program course content, clinical findings and expectations, and registry preparation testing and activities.
