AEDD 250 — Mechanical Design

This course provides an overview of the elements of mechanical design that are used in manufacturing industries. Topics will include ASME Y14.5 standards of technical graphics, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT), classes of fit, surface finishes, weld callouts, representation of fasteners, characteristics of materials, power transmission, and development of working drawings. Students may submit work using appropriate 2D or parametric CAD drawings. Prerequisite(s): AEDD-100 or AEDD-105 or MACH-115 or MACH-101, MACH-102 and MACH-103 Corequisite(s): none
