ARAB 102 — Beginning Arabic II

During this course, students will build on the basic grammar and vocabulary learned in the first course in order to engage in more complex dialogues as well as more complex written and verbal c ommunications. Students further their knowledge of commonly -used Arabic phrases, Arabic grammar, sentence structures, and expand their vocabulary. They hear and practice dialogues using colloquial Arabic in addition to learning the higher registers of Arab ic. An emphasis is placed on students familiarizing themselves with using these variations in socially appropriate manners. Prerequisite(s): ARAB-101 or instructor approval Corequisite(s): none
