CNMS 111 — Digital Foundations

In this course, students will explore the computer as a tool for visual communication. Using the latest software, students will be guided through introductions to Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, and After Effects as well as som e basic HTML and CSS. Using the Principles of Design as a foundation for learning, students will work through exercises that combine the visual, theoretical, and historical elements necessary to build a solid foundation in new media design. Before enrollin g, students are expected to have technical proficiency in basic computer operations and file management. Prerequisite(s): ENGL-080 or ENGL -101 or appropriate placement Corequisite(s): none
