CNMS 195 — Children’s Book Art and Publication

Students are familiarized with the artist’s role in the development and creation of a children’s picture book. Assignments include breaking up manuscripts, designing cha racters, creating a storyboard, a wrap - around jacket, and several finished pieces. Upon successful completion of this class, the student should have a basic knowledge of the process needed to complete a 32-page picture book project as well as an increased understanding of storytelling, design, and character development. Prerequisite(s): ARTS-130 or CNMS-115 Corequisite(s): none
