ELEC 170 — Three-Phase Circuits
This course covers t he theory associated with Polyphase Circuits and the comparison between single-phase and polyphase power generation; balanced and unbalanced 'wye' and 'delta' circuits; use of various wattmeters in various configurations; power factor and power factor corr ection techniques; single - and three-phase transformers; autotransformers; 'vee' to 'vee'; scott tap percent voltage regulation; transformer impedances. Prerequisite(s): ELEC-140 w/grade of C or better Corequisite(s): none
