EMST 110 — Emergency Medical Responder
This course is de signed to give students, through lecture and practical lab, the entry -level know ledge and skills necessary to provide emergency medical responder care for patients who access the emergency medical system. Upon successful course completion, students are eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Eme rgency Medical Responder (EMR) certification examination. Students will perform interventions necessary to provide patient care including rapid patient assessment, airway management and oxygen administration, CPR, shock management, bandaging, and splinting.
