ENGL 117 — Introduction to Professional Writing
3 cr. This course introduces the student to writing and critical thinking skills associated with trade and technical degrees. It covers mastering vocabulary within a field, assessing information for credibility and usefulness, communicating clearly, and creating effective proposals. It focuses on improving problem- solving and critical thinking skills for a variety of business-related scenarios. It is designated as a writing-intensive (W) course.
