ENGL 200 — Creative Writing
This course, which is a writing workshop, will welcome all four of the major literary genres: fiction, poetry, drama, and the personal essay. Most of class time will be spent discussing student manuscripts; the remaining time will consist of lectures on craft, critical discussion of assigned readings, and writing exercises. While a book will be assigned, student's original writing is the primary "text" which will be submitted to the class in regular rotation so that all have equal air time. Prerequisite(s): ENGL-100 or ENGL-101 Corequisite(s): ENGL-115
