ENGL 256 — Russian Literature
This course exposes students to a survey o f Russian literature spanning two hundred years, emphasizing what is considered the "Golden Age" (approximately 1860-1940). Students will read and analyze poetry, drama, short stories, and novels from influential authors including Tolstoy, Chekhov, and Do stoevsky, as well as view two film adaptations.
