ENGL 280 — Women in Literature
The rich tradition of women's literature has re ceived new attention and benefited from exhaustive scholarship in recent decades . This course examines that tradition, concentrating on both public and private writing as integral to the study of women in literature. In addition to the works themselves, th e course considers political, economic, and cultural forces which shaped the evolution of women's writing. This course is writing intensive. Prerequisite(s): ENGL-100 or ENGL-101 Corequisite(s): ENGL-115
