HORT 140 — Integrated Pest Management
This course introduces students to applied entomology and plant pathology, and pest management strategies using the principles of integrated pest management (IPM). Common insect and plant disease organisms are identified and discussed. Emphasis is placed on plant health and pest management tactics resulting from systematic, logical, effective, and environmentally safe management decisions. Field trips are required. Maine Board of Pesticides Control Private Applicators License exam is given. Prerequisite(s): none Corequisite(s): none
