HORT 250 — Greenhouse Management

This is an introductory commercial greenhouse operations and management course. Students become familiar with greenhouse structures and equipment, the greenhouse environment, insect, disease and weed management, and crop production and marketing. Students apply methods and techniques to manage the greenhouse facility and environment and to gain experience and knowledge about common greenhouse crops. Field trips are required. Prerequisite(s): HORT-130, HORT-200 Corequisite(s): none
