The curriculum is built on a foundation of general education classe s, supplemented with elective c ourses that develop depth in the prerequisite knowledge required for further study at the baccalaureate level. Students are encouraged to choose elective courses in a discipline in which they may major at the baccalaureate level. Please note: A student is only eligible to receive one Associate in Ar ts in Liberal Studies degree. S/he may not receive a second or subsequent degree in Liberal Studies with a different focus. Focuses present recommended courses for areas of interest based on the liberal studies degree requirements. Students earn an Associate in Arts in Liberal Studies once all liberal studies requirements are completed, whether or not all course recommendations are followed.
