3 cr. An introduction to the ideas of discrete mathematics, this course presents the topics needed to prepare the student for success in courses in computer science and electronics. Topics include number systems, logic, computer arithmetic, coding, sets, Boolean algebra, networks, circuits, flowcharts, computer functions, algorithms, graphs, arrays, and summation.
