MATH 190 — Pre-Calculus
This course is designed to add depth and breadth to a student’s mathematical background before emba rking on a study of the methods of calculus . The course covers a review of algebra, linear, and quadratic functions; polynomial, rational, exponential, radical, and logarithmic functions; compositions and inverses of functions; theory of polynomials with t he Fundamental Theorem of Algebra; trigonometric functions and identities; additional topics and applications. Prerequisite(s): MATH-140 or MATH-142, MATH-146 or MATH-160 Corequisite(s): none
