All students earn an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Liberal Studies degree once program requirements are met r egardless of their focus area or if all spe cific recommendations were followed. A student is only eligible to receive one Associate in Arts in Liberal Studies degree. S/he may not receive a second or subsequent degree in Liberal Studies with a different focus. Associate in Arts in Liberal Studies with a Focus in Science The associate in arts degree in Liberal Studies with a focus in Science is designed to prepare students to transfer to four -year colleges and universities. The curriculum is built on a foundation of general education classes, supplemented with laboratory science courses, to develop depth in the prerequisite knowledge required for further scientific study at the baccalaureate level.
