HMS-2111 - Ethics Human Services Addiction Counseling* HMS-2111 - Ethics Human Services Addiction Counseling* The student will learn how to apply ethical decision-making techniques to situations facing human services and addiction in the profession. The student will explore current moral, cultural, and ethical issues in human services and addiction counseling fields, as well as examine core concepts related to ethics. The student will examine the consequences of ethical violations in the various areas of human services and addiction counseling. The student will learn the historical development of informed consent and the codes of conduct, examine the legal obligations and ethical codes, explore ethical dilemmas and decision making, and become a culturally competent worker. Orients students to fieldwork and prepares students for practice in the human services and addiction fields. List Course
