HST-1037 - Recent U.S. History: 1945-Present* (H) HST-1037 - Recent U.S. History: 1945-Present* (H) Students consider the U.S. role on the international stage during the Cold War and into the 21 st century, while examining the changing social, cultural, and economic landscape of the United States. As the United States became a global superpower, new voices emerged demanding inclusion in the political process. Students consider movements for civil and political equality, including the struggles of African Americans, women, Native Americans, immigrants, and members of the LGBT communities, and evaluate the reaction to those struggles. This course satisfies the General Education Humanities requirement. List Course
