PHL-1420 - Law and Society (H) PHL-1420 - Law and Society (H) Students learn about legal issues in contemporary society. Students examine the foundations of law and its function in American culture. Topics include some of the following: law and morality; civil disobedience; equality; rights and justice. Readings are drawn from the philosophers, legal scholars, political scientists, sociologists, and court decisions. This course satisfies the General Education Humanities requirement. List Course
