POL-1050 - Introduction to Government and Politics* (B) POL-1050 - Introduction to Government and Politics* (B) Through a study of major political ideologies, including monarchy, democracy, anarchism, fascism, communism, socialism, capitalism, nationalism, environmentalism, liberation ideologies, and emerging 21 st century ideas, students consider the social and historical factors that shape the development of ideas about power, and consider the interaction between culture and government. Students explore the interrelationships among various systems of government and evaluate the global and historical impact of those systems. This course satisfies the General Education Social/Behavioral Science requirement. List Course
