SM 205 - Hair Styling Clinical Practicum I SM 205 - Hair Styling Clinical Practicum I 3 Credit Hours Lecture Hrs. 0 Lab Hrs. 24 (Clinical) Students will apply the principles learned in the theory course within the clinical laboratory setting as they relate to hairstyling. In this hands-on environment, students will develop and refine foundational and advanced styling techniques, including blow-dry styling, thermal styling, updos, braiding, and contemporary trend-based designs. Emphasis is placed on proper sectioning, tool selection, product knowledge, client consultation, and adapting styles to various hair types and textures. Students will also demonstrate professionalism, time management, infection control, and safety practices while building confidence, creativity, and technical proficiency in preparation for industry and state board standards.
