CAD 204 — Manufacturing Design

This course is a continuation of CAD 200 with the focus on the design process as it relates to the manufacturing industry. Students will take a problem identified, research and come up with a design. Porotypes will be created with a 3-D printer. A set of working drawings will be created once the porotype functions as designed. Reverse engineering, with the use of precision measuring instruments, will be used to generate sketches. Quality control and inspection will be discussed as it relates to the design process. SolidWorks will be the software utilized in this course.

Prerequisites: CAD 102, CAD 220, CAD 221
