This course provides concepts in normal and complicated pregnancy and infant care for the first year of life. Discussions will include anatomical, physiological, and emotional care of the pregnant client, post-partum client, and child. The course will cover special topics such as the special needs infant, substance abuse, vaccinations, and community health resources.
