HIT 130 — Intr o to Computers for HIT
This course focuses on healthcare administration applications of software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation graphics. The course is designed to assist students to acquire basic computer skills in word processor, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications with a focus on navigation and accuracy; discussing and demonstrating how these applications are used in the healthcare environment; introducing methods to assemble and analyze patient data for the purpose of improving patient care and controlling costs. NOTE: This course requires access to a reliable Internet connection to complete online assignments. Students must be competent computer and Internet users.
