The course is designed to emphasize an individual’s ability to maintain health while utilizing the nursing process and developmental theories with a focus on the nursing role as a communicator, provider of care, and educator. The developmental stages of infancy, school-age, adolescent and adulthood are presented in relation to Basic Needs.
