PSYC 265 — Psychology of Women
This course examines sex and gender from biological, sociocultural, and psychological perspectives. A central goal is to explore social and political disadvantages resulting from the intersection of gender, race and ethnicity. T opics will include 1) research methods, 2) gender differences, biases, and stereotypes, 3) gender development, 4) mental and physical health issues for women, 5) women s role in the media and workplace, 6) the relationships, sexuality, and victimization of women.
