RC 114 — Advanc ed Ventilation & Ped RC

This course will begin with an overview of pediatric respiratory care; including assessment, monitoring, basic therapies, non-invasive, and mechanical ventilation of the pediatric patient as well as the etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of pediatric diseases. The course will end with information related to fetal development, neonatal assessment, and neonatal resuscitation. Information will include airway management, basic respiratory therapy including oxygen therapy, transcutaneous monitoring, capillary sticks, and mechanical ventilation of the neonatal patient.

Prerequisites: RC 110, RC 111, RC 112, RC 113, RC 115
