RC 203 — Adult Critic al Care and NEO
This course provides a continuation and completion of classroom instruction and laboratory practice for mechanical ventilatory support and its use in respiratory care. Specific areas of interest include improving ventilation and oxygenation of the ventilated patient, ventilator graphics, assessment of the critically ill patent, and troubleshooting the ventilator. Then the course continues with ACLS certification with extensive review of electrocardiogram technique and interpretation, cardiac pharmacology, as well as myocardial infarction and stroke care. The course will conclude with a more in-depth study of pulmonary function testing in the classroom and lab.
