CENT1310 — Computer Systems and Software
3 Credit Hour(s) This course introduces the student to the hardware components and operation of a computer. This course also provides an introduction to various application programs essential in the engineering technology field. Emphasis is given to developing the student’s ability to use Microsoft Windows-based application software including word processing and spreadsheet processing. This course also includes an introduction to a high-level programming language. This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
