BIO-201 - Biology 1 BIO-201 - Biology 1 3 credits Geared to the prospective science major, the first semester of this course provides an introduction to the methods of science followed by a discussion of the molecular basis of biology and the architecture of cells and tissues. Consideration is then given to the central energy pathways-cellular respiration and photosynthesis. An in-depth coverage of cellular reproduction, classical and molecular genetics follows. Course previously known as: BIOL-106
