EDU-205 - Observation, Assessment, and Documentation in Education EDU-205 - Observation, Assessment, and Documentation in Education 1 credits This course explores the goals, benefits, and ethical practices of observing, documenting, and assessing young children in educational settings. Students will learn to select, administer, and interpret observation and assessment tools to understand developmental progression, guide curriculum planning, and individualize instruction. Emphasis is placed on responsible and culturally responsive assessment, effective communication of results to families and colleagues, and the integration of assessment into daily classroom practice. Students will use technology to collect and analyze data, engage in collaborative assessment partnerships, and examine how observation and documentation inform equitable and inclusive teaching strategies.
